What about

Paiko Beach

Paiko Beach is a small strip of sand along the ocean-facing shore of a small spit of land that forms the west side of Paiko Lagoon Wildlife Sanctuary. Bird watchers and bird enthusiasts will have a lifetime of entertainment a few feet from their front doors. Like all Hawaii beaches, Paiko Beach is public to the natural vegitation line. Adjacent to that line is a small community of around 20-40 privately-owned, single family residences – depending on your inclusion criteria. Street parking is awful … likely by design.

These days, the beach all but disappears at high tide so it’s not a beach that gets much use. At low tide, people stroll infrequently by, but the reef is very shallow so swimmers/snorkelers opt for other locations. Locals use Paiko Beach as a place from which to paddle out to the outer reef and the summer surf breaks: Secrets, Toes, Paikos, Turtles, & (pro-only) Tuna Bowls.
