A Rare Gem in Kaneohe
This lovingly maintained family home is coming on the market for the first time. A beautiful, mature mango tree greets you as you approach with its delicious fruits ready for you (seasonally). Step inside to see the definition of ‘the pride of ownership’ as you marvel at the restored hardwood floors. This truly classic kama’aina home is ready for a new generation.
Smart upgrades over the years include electrical (Romex™) rewiring with upgraded electrical panel, PVC plumbing improvements, and a roof replacement. The main house has 3 bedrooms and 2½ baths — a ½ bath in the primary bedroom and a full bathroom in the common space. The second full bath is located behind the carport, offering opportunities for expansion. The large covered patio is ideal for hosting friends and family while enjoying the lush greenery that makes Kaneohe so special. Located on a cul-de-sac, you will still find many neighbors who are original owners on a charming street located just 2 miles from the Windward Mall, 1 mile from Windward City Shopping Center, 0.5 miles to Castle High School and walking distance to Bayview Golf Course.

What is it?
Kaneohe
In Hawaiian, Kaneohe literally translates to ‘bamboo man’ (‘ohe + kane). Long ago Hawaii royalty lived here and the windward area was known for its agricultural richness and fish ponds. Taro was the primary crop. Today the area is a CDP (census-designated place) that’s primarily residential. It’s not known as a tourist hot spot but Kaneohe Bays attract a lot of paragliders, kite surfers, kayakers, and SUPers.
Vintage TV fans will recognise Coconut Island, now a marine research facility, as the film-home of Gilligan’s Island.
